Chiefs Use Strong Third To Beat Storm

The Kelowna Chiefs used a strong third period where scoring 3 goals including one in to an empty net en route to a 3-1 win over the Kamloops Storm in Kamloops Friday night. Patrick Reynolds scored twice while Brett Joseph added a goal and an assist for the Chiefs. Evan Clark got the Storm on the board in the second period with a power play goal and a 1-0 lead after two periods where the Storm had a two period shots edge of 38-6. The Chiefs came back with a 17-7 shot advantage in the third. Chiefs goalie Frederick Larochelle was outstanding for his team stopping 43 shots while Colton Phillips-Watts stopped 20 of 22 shots he faced. Kelowna was 0-1 on the power play while the Storm were 1-7 on their power play.
