Dube, White & Horne named KIJHL 3 Stars of the Week

 

 

Braycen Dube (Kamloops Storm), Nathan White (Revelstoke Grizzlies) and Gibson Horne (Princeton Posse) have been selected the KIJHL 3 Stars of the Week for the period ending Oct. 13, 2024.

Dube – Top Forward – The Cranbrook product helped the Storm win two of their four games last week with four goals and five assists. In their 5-4 shootout win over the Williams Lake Mustangs on Oct. 8, Dube collected an assist. In their 4-3 loss to the Chase Heat on Oct. 11,  Dube scored the first goal on the power-play and added an assist. In their 6-2 loss to the Kelowna Chiefs on Oct.12, Dube had another goal and two-point performance. Dube then capped his week with two goals and two assists in a 6-3 win over the Grand Forks Border Bruins on Oct. 13. Dube leads the Storm with 16 points in 10 games, which also ranks him No.1 in the league.

White – Top Defenceman – The Calgary, Alta. product had a goal and two assists in the Grizzlies’ 6-5 shootout loss to the Merritt Centennials on Oct. 11. White helped the Grizzlies take a 2-0 lead with a goal and an assist. He collected another assist on Jake Neufeld’s goal to give them a 5-4 lead. In five games, White has two goals and three assists.

Horne – Top Goalie – The Lac Des Arcs, Alta., product played a big part in the Posse’s 3-1 win over the Osoyoos Coyotes on Oct.11, making 50 saves. In the final two periods combined, Horne stopped 38 of 39 shots and faced 21 in the third period, saving 20. Horne, a Prairie Hockey Academy U18 Prep product, has won three of his four games with a 1.96 goals against average and a .951 save percentage.
