Eagles Have Big Third To Down Storm

Tyler Burke had a hat-trick in the third period but it was Warren Roberts-Lee who scored the winning goal as the Sicamous Eagles downed the Kamloops Storm 4-1 in KIJHL action Wednesday in Kamloops. The game was scoreless thru two periods but Burke opened the games scoring 39 seconds in to the third period. Just 13 seconds later Ryan Larsen tied the game before Roberts-Lee’s tally midway thru the third put the Eagles on top for good. Burke added an empty net goal and then completed the hat-trick with just 3 seconds left in the game. Colton Phillips-Watts made 28 saves to take the loss in goal while Kamloops had 26 shots on winning netminder Gage Reimer. Both teams were scoreless on the power play as Kamloops had 3 chances and the Eagles had 2.
