Ewert Plays Hero In OT Win Vs Wranglers

The 100 Mile House Wranglers kept hanging around and hanging around and pushed the Storm to overtime but in the end it was Harrison Ewert who played hero as he scored off a faceoff and feed from Peyton Kelly to end the night happily for the Kamloops Storm as they came away with a 4-3 OT win in KIJHL action Saturday night in Kamloops. The Storm jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first period on goals by Brody Johnston on the power play and Brandon Toye. The Wranglers scored the lone goal of the second period and then tied the game on a breakaway early in the third before Toye got his second of the game to put Kamloops up 3-2. 100 Mile tied the game once again on the power play to send the game in to overtime to set up Ewert’s heroics. Final shots were 47-17 Storm as they were 1 for 7 on the power play while 100 Mile was 2 for 4. Colton Phillips-Watts got the win in net.
