On a night celebrating First Responders it seems only fitting that the son of a retired firefighter put an end to the game and sent over 300 fans home happy. Harrison Ewert scored at 2:47 of overtime to give the Kamloops Storm a 2-1 victory over the Osoyoos Coyotes in KIJHL action Saturday night. Harrison’s father Ron watched as Harrison went coast to coast and put home the game winning goal to start another celebration. Jake Phillips-Watts on the power play tied he game in the second period after Coyote Ethan McKinley opened the scoring on a power play earlier in the period. Cody Creasy got the win in net making 26 saves on the night. Kamloops completes a perfect weekend after beating Sicamous on Friday night.
