Grizzlies Complete Weekend Sweep

The Revelstoke Grizzlies swept a key home and home series with the Kamloops Storm with a 3-1 win in Revelstoke Saturday night. The Storm came out firing in the first period outshooting the home squad 15-8 but the game remained scoreless. The Grizzlies opened the scoring early in the second period before Peyton Kelly scored his 11th of the season to tie the game after two periods. Both teams combined for 47 shots in the second (26 for the Storm). Revelstoke took advantage of power plays in the third period to seal the win as they went 2 for 3 in the third on the pp and 2 for 4 on the night. Kamloops was 0 for 4 on the power play. Final shots were 53-40 for the Storm as Colton Phillips-Watts and Grizzly goaltender Brandon Weare were both outstanding in goal.
