Storm Cool Down Heat 4-1

Mason Svarich scored twice and Evan Clark added two assists as the Kamloops Storm defeated the Chase Heat 4-1 on Friday night in Kamloops. Zak Anderson with his eighth of the year opened the scoring and gave Kamloops a 1-0 lead after one period. After Dylan Handel tied the game for the Heat just 49 seconds in to the second period Svarich scored his first of his two goals to give the Storm a 2-1 heading in to the third. Svarich with his second of the game and Cole Senum with his third of the year put the game on ice. Kamloops outshot the Heat 38-30 as Colton Philips-Watts was solid in getting the win in net. The Storm are now 9-2 on the year and sit 8 points up on the 4-2-2 Heat.
