Horner Leads Storm Past Heat in Chase

The Kamloops Storm scored three times in the third period to down the Chase Heat 6-4 in exhibition play in Chase Saturday night. Ty Horner scored once and set up two others to lead the way while Jake Phillips-Watts added a goal and an assist. Kohen MyKyte chipped in with two assists. Evan Leggett started in goal for the Storm and stopped 14 of 16 shots while Nate Hoffman came in half way thru the game to stop 7 of 9 shots fired his way. Kamloops was 0 for 4 on the pp and a perfect 5 for 5 on the pk. Chase led 2-1 after one period but Kamloops came back to lead 3-2 after two. The Storm are now 1 and 1 in pre-season action. They will host the Grand Forks Border Bruins in a twin bill next Friday and Saturday night.
