Horner Leads Storm To Game 1 Win

Ty Horner Scored twice while Devin Benson added two assists as the Kamloops Storm took game one of the Birks Division semi-final 6-3 over the Sicamous Eagles Friday night. The Storm led 3-0 after one period and 4-0 after Ryan Larsen scored early in the second period. The Eagles cut the lead to 4-2 after two periods and then made it 4-3 midway thru the third period before Evan Douglas and Evan Clark put the game away with two late goals to give Kamloops the win. Ashton Taylor also tallied for the Storm in support of winning goalie Colton Phillips-Watts who made 29 saves on the night. Kamloops was 2 for 6 on the power play and a perfect 2 for 2 killing penalties. Game two is Saturday night 7pm.
