The Kamloops Storm along with the entire KIJHL recognized National Day For Truth and Reconciliation tonight at all KIJHL home game arenas. The Storm then jumped on the Kelowna Chiefs for five first period goals cruised to an 8-3 win over their Okanagan rivals to improve to 3-0 on the young KIJHL season. Teghan Mullin had a goal and two assists to lead the way for the Storm while Ty Horner, Ryan Larsen, and Evan Douglas each had a goal and an assist. Evan Clark chipped in with two assists. Hudson Clarke, Nolan MacPherson, and Brendan Green rounded out the home town scoring. Kamloops outshot Kelowna 38-23 on the night with Colton Phillips-Watts getting the win in net. Kamloops was 3 for 9 on the power play but gave up 2 power play goals themselves.
