Storm Remembers – Steam Roll To Win

The Kamloops Storm honoured the veterans of our country Saturday night but could not muster the energy to overcome the Summerland Steam as the visitors walked out with a 5-2 win on Saturday night in Kamloops. The Steam jumped out to a 1-0 lead after one period on Parker Konneke’s 4th of the season. Evan Clark tied the game on the power play early in the second period before Prezton Stewart and Michael Greenwood scored back to back for Summerland for a 3-1 lead. Kyle Sanford’s 3rd of the season on a breakaway with 16 seconds left in the second cut the Steam lead to 3-2. Summerland sealed the game with two empty net goals for the 5-2 win. Both teams were 1 for 4 on the power play and the shots ended up at 22 apiece. The Storm now get 11 days off before they return to action against the Chase Heat Wednesday November 17th.
