Storm Bounce Back To Even Series

The Kamloops Storm scored first and never looked back as they defeated the Chase Heat 5-2 to even their best of seven series at 1-1. Kyle Sanford opened the scoring and gave Kamloops a 1-0 lead after one period. Brendan Kirschner and Hudson Cameron extended the Storm lead to 3-0 before Chase got a power play goal from Dylan Handel to cut the into the lead. Harrison Ewert however scored a shorthanded back-breaker to give Kamloops a 4-1 lead after two periods. Zak Anderson on a power play and Jarod Sigouin shorthanded traded third period goals to close out the scoring. Ewert added an assist to his goal while Alek Erichuk added 3 assists in playing a dominant game on defence. Kamloops was 1 for 5 on the power play while Chase went 1 for 6. Colton Phillips-Watts stopped 32 of 34 shots fired his way while Jack Osmond made 21 saves for the Heat. Game three goes Friday night in Chase.
