Storm End Season With Game 7 Loss

The Kamloops Storm threw everything but the kitchen sink at the Sicamous Eagles but came out on the short end of a 2-1 loss in Game 7 of their Birks Division semi-final. Aiden Kalin scored twice for the Eagles who held period leads of 1-0 and 2-0 before Lucas Schmid got the Storm on the board with just under 4 minutes left in the game. Kamloops pressed but could not beat Eagles netminder Gage Reimer who made 16 of 17 saves in the third period. Final shots were 36-12. The Eagles were 0 for 2 on the power play while Kamloops was 0 for 3. The loss ends the 2022/2023 season for the Storm.
