The Williams Lake Mustangs kept it simple as they usually do and got a third period goal by JP Desabrais to edge the Kamloops Storm 2-1 in game one of the Birks Division Final on Friday night. Kuy Schmirler scored the lone Storm goal in the second period to tie the game at 1-1. Brenner Fyfe takes the loss in goal making 23 saves on the night. The Storm had 30 shots of their own. Kamloops did not have a power play on the night while the Mustangs went 1 for 3 on their power play. Game Two goes Saturday in Kamloops.
