The Kamloops Storm for now are sacrificing some defence for offence and for now its working as the boys from the Loops routed the Chase Heat 11-5 in KIJHL action Saturday night. While goals are great the Storm coaching staff are not happy giving up 8 goals in two games and three power play goals against. That being said Kamloops is 2-0 on the early season and will look to tighten up going forward. Tonight all four lines scored multiple times the Storm showed its high powered balance. Luca D’Amore had two goals and an assist while Teghan Mullin and Jack Day had two goals as well. Nicklas Wytrychowski, Hayden Selin, Sean Milford, Ryan Pedersen, and Nolan MacPherson tallies as well. Carson Werbowesky, Kuy Schmirler, and Noah Paulsen added two assists each. Joshua Nuttall got the win in net stopping 20 of 25 shots on the night while Kamloops peppered Chase with 52 shots of their own. Kamloops was 0 for 3 on their power play and gave up 2 goals in 5 chances on the penalty kill. Kamloops will now have 6 days to prepare for the Fernie Ghostriders next Friday night at home 7pm.
