Nicklas Wytrychowsky had a first period hat-trick which included an all world second goal while Teghan Mullin had 3 assists as the Kamloops Storm defeated the defending KIJHL champion Grand Forks Border Bruins 5-3 in KIJHL action Saturday in Grand Forks. Lucs D’Amore and Noah Paulsen also scored for Kamloops who outshot Grand Forks 31-29. Brenner Fyfe was solid in getting the win in net in what was a fairly rough affair in which the teams combined for over 130 minutes in penalties. Kamloops went 2 for 5 on their power play and went a perfect 6 for 6 on their penalty kill. The Storm are 16-4-1 right now and have the best winning percentage in the K.
