The Kamloops Storm opened a 3 games in 3 days road trip by defeating the Creston Valley Thundercats 6-3 in KIJHL action Friday. Aaron Zulinick scores once and added two assists as the Storm never trailed but needed a go ahead marker by Lochlan Stefanishyn midway thru the third period to put the Storm ahead to stay. Noah Paulsen and Carson Reagan scored for the Storm while Teghan Mullin and Nolan MacPherson scored empty net goals to seal the deal. Brenner Fyfe got the win in goal stopping 17 of 20 shots he faced on the night. Kamloops was 1 for 4 on the power play and 4 for 5 on their penalty kill. Kamloops will continue the road trip with a visit to Fernie Saturday night to play the Ghostriders at 7pm.
