Luca D’Amore welcomed in the 2026-2027 BCHC Inaugural season with 4 goals as he led his hometown Kamloops Storm to a 7-1 victory over the Columbia Valley Rockies in the league opener for both teams. Ben Filippone and Malcolm Anderson had a goal and an assist each while Kwentyn Oss and Kaden Skrenek each chipped in with 2 assists. Brenner Fyfe made 27 saves to get the win in net. Kamloops won the special teams battle going 2 for 5 on the power play and went a perfect 4 for 4 on their penalty kill. The Storm will now go on the road Saturday to play the Posse in Princeton.
