Braycen Dube of the Kamloops Storm has committed to play for the UVic Vikes in the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League this fall.
Dube, 21, led the Storm with 54 points in 44 games this season, adding another six in 10 KIJHL Teck Cup playoff games. Dube joined the Storm in a trade from the Kimberley Dynamiters during the 2023-24 season.
“It was a pleasure having Braycen wear the red, white, and blue of the Kamloops Storm,” said general manager Matt Kolle. “He is both a great person and player. The Vikes are getting a good one.”
The Cranbrook product began his junior hockey career in the Maritimes Junior A Hockey League in 2022-23, playing for the Summerside Western Capitals and the Valley Wildcats. That season he collected 11 points in 48 regular season games. He played another seven games for the Wildcats last season before joining the Dynamiters.
Dube completed his KIJHL career with 78 points in 79 career games.
