The Castlegar Rebels scored twice early in the first period and held a 2-0 lead until Teghan Mullin and Luca D’Amore scored 9 seconds apart late in the first to start the Kamloops comeback. Ryan Larsen, who also had 2 assists, scored late in the second period to give the home side a 3-2 lead heading in to the third period. Luke Rothfos and D’Amore with his second of the game rounded out the scoring in a 5-2 Storm win. Mullin also added an assist while former Rebel Ben Filippone and Braycen Dube had two assists each. The Storm were 1 for 7 on the power play and a perfect 3 for 3 on the penalty kill. Brenner Fyfe gets the win in net making 24 saves. Kamloops had 42 shots of their own. The Storm will host the Chase Heat Sunday afternoon at 5pm.
