The Kamloops Storm were in a battle in Revelstoke and when the dust settled they came up short on the wrong end of a 4-2 decision at the hands of the Grizzlies in KIJHL action New Years Eve night. In what was a chippy affair the Storm fell behind 3-0 in the second period before two third period goals by Luca D’Amore and Teghan Mullin cut the lead to 3-2. The Storm pressed but could get no closer and gave up an empty net goal with just 42 seconds left in the game. Brenner Fyfe took the loss in net despite stopping 46 of 49 shots he faced on the night. The Storm had 41 shots of their own. Special teams was the difference in this game as Kamloops went 0 for 9 on their power play while Revelstoke was 2 for 6.
