In a game with the top two teams in the KIJHL the Kamloops Storm mounted a thrilling comeback with two late third period goals to defeat the Revelstoke Grizzlies 5-4 in KIJHL action in Kamloops Friday Night. In front of a fairly packed house at MacArthur Island the Grizzlies jumped out to an early 2-0 lead before the Storm came roaring back to tie the game at 2-2 after one period. Noah Paulsen gave Kamloops a 3-2 lead in the second period but before the middle frame ended Revelstoke would score twice to take a 4-3 lead. With less than 4 minutes left in the game Hayden Selin with his second of the game tied the contest and then former Grizzly Kuy Schmirler got the winner with 1:24 left in the contest. Kamloops would hold on as Brenner Fyfe gets the win in net stopping 31 of 35 shots he faced. Kamloops would get 34 shots of their own. Selin had a goal and two assists while Cale Nachai would get a goal and two helpers. Nicklas Wytrychowski would chip in with two assists. The Storm went 1 for 2 on the power play while Revy would go 1 for 6. The Storm will now travel to Williams Lake Saturday for a game with the Mustangs. A Storm win and Kamloops will clinch first place in the Doug Birks Division
