Storm Win Suspended Game In Shootout

Two days leter the Kamloops Storm finished a sweep of their weekend road trip by defeating the Columbia Valley Rockies 2-1 in a shootout in a game that was stopped on Friday night with 1:05 left in the third period and the game tied 1-1. After Kamloops travelled down to beat Creston 5-4 on Saturday the Storm returned to Columbia Valley to complete the suspended game and won in the shootout. Colton Phillips-Watts stopped 36 of 37 shots fired his way and made 3 out of 4 saves in the shootout. Evan Douglas scored the shootout winner after Jake Phillips-Watts matched the Rockies first shootout goal with one of his own. Jameson Rende shorthanded opened the games scoring in the second period. Both teams were 0 for 3 on the power play.
