Storm Edge Heat 3-2 With Late Goal

Kyle Sanford sped around a Heat defender and finished off a beautiful rush flipping home the winning goal with 3 seconds left in the game as the Kamloops Storm opened the exhibition season with a thrilling 3-2 win over Chase. The game was scoreless after one period and tied 2-2 after two setting up Sanford’s heroics in the third. Sanford also had an assist while Ty Horner and Zakery Anderson scored the other Storm goals. Garrett Martin and Aiden Brown responded for the Heat. Birch Mireau was solid in getting the win in goal. These two teams will go at it again in exhibition play Saturday night in Chase.
