Strong Rookie/Veteran Crop Will Make Storm Tough to Beat in 2020/2021

The Kamloops Storm head into the 2020/2021 season with a strong rookie group and a very good group of returning vets. Jakob Drapeau will lead the way in goal after a very strong 2019/2020 campaign. Up front, Chris Thon along with Brett Mero, Harrison Ewert, Jameson Rende, and Carter McLellan and former Chase Heat forward Jayden Russell will be the veteran group up front. Victoria Royal draft pick Braden Smith and former Merritt Centennial Brody Johnston lead the physical charge on D. Everett Silvertips defenceman Aiden Sutter is on loan to the Storm and will start the year in Kamloops. Third year D-man Carter Adams further solidifies the veteran laden defence. Rookie D-men Devin Benson, Zach Vandekerckhoves, Samule Lewis, and Cole Senum all look good in pre-season action and will add more than just depth. Rookie forwards are lead by Peyton Kelly, Lex Friesen, Kasey Jackson, Brandon Toye, Zakery Anderson, Josh Hamling, Everett Rasmussen, and Owen Barrow. This group offers a good mix of speed, skill, and size that can make them interchangeable on any line.
