Storm Fall In 100 Mile In OT 2-1

The Kamloops Storm doubled the 100 Mile House Wranglers in shots but it was the Wranglers who scored twice in the shootout to take a 2-1 shootout win in KIJHL action Friday night. The game was scoreless after one period but Peyton Kelly and Memphis Burgeson traded goals in the second and the game was tied at 1-1 after two periods where it would stay through the third period and overtime. Kelly scored the lone Storm goal in the shootout but Owen Johnson and Presley Gordon beat Cody Creasy to seal the win. Creasy stopped 19 of 20 forwards while Kamloops fired 40 shots at Wrangler goalie Royce Watson. The Storm were 1 for 5 on the power play and a perfect 3 for 3 on the penalty kill. Kamloops will return home to host the Chase Heat Saturday night.
