Scott Burgess scored at 3:31 of the 1st OT period to give the Princeton Posse a 6-5 come from behind win over the Kamloops Storm in exhibition play in Kamloops Friday night. The Storm led 3-0 after two periods on goals by Jameson Rende, Ryan Larsen, and Weston Field. The Posse potted 3 goals within 5 minutes to tie the game before Jake Phillips-Watts put Kamloops ahead 4-3. Princeton then scored two more goals within 20 seconds to take the lead 5-4 before a late power play goal by Phillips-Watts tied the game with just over a minute to play to send the game to OT setting up Burgess’ heroics. Kamloops outshot Princeton 36-33 on the night with Nate Hoffman going the distance for the Storm while Patrick Hunt (first two periods) and Nixon Ordway (third period and OT) shared the duties for the Posse. Kamloops will travel to Chase to play the Heat Saturday September 10th in their second exhibition game of the season.
