Rende Plays 100th Game. Storm Win 2-1

Jameson Rende celebrated his 100th KIJHL regular season game with a 2-1 win over the Summerland Steam on Saturday night. Rende was honoured before the game but his team was down 1-0 after one period. Kamloops would tie the game in the second as Owen Aura slammed home a Ryan Larsen centering pass sending the game in to the third all tied up. With time running down Devin Benson took a Larsen pass and went roof for the winning goal and a 2-1 victory. The Storm dominated at times and outshot the Steam 41-18 on the night with Colton Phillips-Watts getting the win in net. Kamloops was 0 for 5 on the power play but a perfect 3 for 3 on the penalty kill. Kamloops will head in to the Christmas Break at 16-9-0-3 good for second place in the Doug Birks Division.
